Joining a familiar sitcom world
Birds of a Feather follows sisters Tracey and Sharon and their glamorous friend Dorien. The sitcom originally ran on BBC One from 1989 and later returned on ITV, which is where my episode sits.
It is one of those shows people already have a relationship with before you appear in it. The regular cast includes Pauline Quirke as Sharon, Linda Robson as Tracey and Lesley Joseph as Dorien, with Charlie Quirke and Samuel James among the revival-era cast.
Going, Going, Gone
I guest star as Laszlo in Going, Going, Gone. In the episode, Tracey has had enough of Dorien’s gentlemen callers and Sharon not bringing in a wage, so she throws them both out.
Sharon and Dorien end up back in Sharon’s old bedsit, trying to decide whether they are stronger together. I appear alongside Sarah Flind as Carla and voice roles from John Pickard and Fiona Skinner. The episode was written by Gary Lawson and John Phelps, with additional material from Maurice Gran and Laurence Marks.
